Anglican Legal Society at the CLS Conference

Thursday October 28, 2021
12:00-5:30 PM

Are you interested in Anglican canon law or legal issues facing Anglican churches? If so, this track is for you! The Anglican Legal Society (ALS) brings together attorneys, diocesan chancellors, and others who are interested in Anglican governance and related legal issues. Its annual gathering at the 2021 Christian Legal Society (CLS) National Conference offers instruction, fellowship, and an opportunity to learn from each about wise practices and good order for Anglican parishes and dioceses.

This year’s meeting will include training about threats to religious freedom and opportunities provided by the Alliance Defending Freedom, as well as a discussion of canonical changes and challenges in the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). There will also be a session discussing newly written papers related to canon law. You may attend the ALS meeting in person ($100) or by Zoom ($25). For those attending in person, a BBQ buffet lunch is provided. You will also be able to attend the Religious Freedom briefing on Friday morning of the 2021 CLS National Conference (but no other workshops). Friday morning breakfast is not included in your ALS registration fee.

If you would like to attend any other events during the CLS National Conference, you must register for the conference itself.
